Yesterday was the first day of the new school year. It is inconceivable (yes, the word means what I think it means) that enough time can have passed that Kaelyn is in eighth grade. She reluctantly let me shoot a single picture of her as we were on our way into the quad to collect her schedule. It seems only yesterday that I was bringing her to her first day of kindergarten. This is her last year of middle school. Next year she will go off to high school in a different school district. It was the last first day we'll have at her current school.
Likewise, Karin started fifth grade. She will also change districts next year, and it was the first last day at her elementary school, a school I have come to love after eight years of attendance there. It's a strange blend of pride and melancholy.
...!; this is truly inconceivable - and they are such incredibly fine looking young women!! - I understand perfectly well why you are so proud of them. lots of love to all of you...

I realized a little while ago that Resident Teen will graduate High School when Little Man will graduate Middle School and....when RT graduates College LM will graduate from High school.
And all of that is in 3 to 7 years.
