Every time I seal a box of books I think, "Okay, that's the lot of 'em." Then I turn around and find that there's another stack in that corner, a few more on a shelf over there. Man do I have a lot of books! The crafting books alone took up two big boxes. We won't even go into the psychology and linguistics texts. Are they breeding when I'm not looking?
Packing is eating up most of my evening time, so there's very little to report on the knitting front. The first Kersti sleeve is almost finished, but won't be picture-worthy until it's done. I haven't picked up the second sock either. Both are intended for work today.
This morning I hauled the better part of my stash to work with me. We have some extra space in the back room which I am using as interim storage until the move next week. 15 x 15 qt. tubs of yarn, 11 of fabric, 5 of cross stitch supplies, plus one huge tub each of misc. yarn and batik quilting fabric. And there's still more in the closets at home and in the several work baskets I have strewn around the apartment. The sheer volume of fiber in my life is a little bit intimidating. Not that this deters me in the least from wanting more. Things I'm currently obsessing over?
- White Lies Designs Heirloom Lace Jacket and Bella
- Fiddlesticks Knitting Flirty Ruffles Shawl
- Mountain Colors yarn
- Lacy baby things
- Sock yarn in general
- Noro Kureyon and Silk Garden in rose/plum/purple shades
- Choosing a swift and ball winder
I'm just going to have to dream for a while until I can get some of these other projects finished and free up those tubs!
Heavenly Haiku
Here's the daily Haiku which came to me just as I was waking this morning.
Tangled up with you
You slumber so peacefully
Held safe in my arms
And then Teresa issued a challenge, wondering when I would use a five syllable word in one of my Haikus. Ha!
Determination
I will finish this sweater
Kersti's almost done!
My favorite haiku:
Hippopotamus
Antihippopotamus
Annihilation

When we moved from UK to US, we shipped 14 cubic feet of books, and it's only got worse since then!
Loving all of your haiku!
