So apparently it wasn't bad enough that the furnace at the shop is out. I was so chilled last night that I went to bed in fuzzy microfleece jammies and wool knee socks. This doesn't ever happen. I prefer to wear my jammies for lounging, not sleeping. This morning we woke to a freezing house and my toes were clammy cold inside my wool socks. The thermostat said it was below 60 degrees in the house. And no response at all from the furnace. I need a trip to the tropics to thaw out. We think the problem with the home furnace is a faulty motor on the fan. We're having the landlord in to fix it tomorrow. Fortunately Kevin was able to jump start it (in a manner of speaking) finally and the house is starting to feel like normal again. The transformer on the shop furnace should also be fixed tomorrow and then hopefully the chill will leave my bones.
