It bites me in the ass every time. We tried to install Kevin's printer software on the laptop. It didn't like it. Now the computers (my laptop and his desktop) refuse to connect to the internet. This is tragic. Checking my email is the first thing I do in the morning and the last thing I do at night. Being without a connection is like being without a limb.
Ok, maybe I'm being overly dramatic here, but it's pretty darned important to me. Now I'm reduced to checking my email at work via webmail and taking pictures for my dear readers with the cameraphone. Apologies all around.
Georgia On My Mind
I held to my vow yesterday and sewed up all the seams on the Georgia cardigan from Rowan 28. So far so good. I still need to do the front bands and the neck, but the end is actually in sight! Actually, one thing Mercury Retrograde can be good for is returning to old projects and finishing them up. Since Mercury appears to be retracing his cosmic steps, the Retrograde sets the stage for us to do the same. I'm figuring this might be a good time to pull out that second Lillerosa sleeve and maybe even the Goddess tank. Both are things I'd like to have finished by month's end.
On Friday The Yarn Harlot left us all a little present for while she is away on holiday. Her poncho pattern is simple, but adorable and this Plymouth Encore Colorspun is destined to become a little poncho for K2. She picked it out on our last trip to Uncommon Threads. She's still coughing and feeling under the weather, so I have a friend at the office again today. I've built her a little "nest" under my desk with the purple quilt and a pillow that live in the back of my car. She's anxious for her poncho, so I'm casting it on for her now.
Tonight we're meeting some friends at the San Jose Municipal Stadium for a San Jose Giants baseball game. It's the first live sporting event for my girls. Go Giants!

I'm still new enough to knitting that I still find myself thinking, "That's too gorgeous. No human being could actually have KNIT that, could they?" But, of course, I'm always wrong and, yes, some extremely talented person did "knit that"--as you knit the beautiful Georgia. Fantastic, Nathania!!
