Last night was blissfully quiet. I picked the girls up after work and they played outside while I put dinner on the stove and napped for half an hour. They went back outside after dinner and I watched a syndicated episode of West Wing (the one my friend Richard Green was on!) and Queer Eye while knitting away on Luanne. I had 2+ inches to go to get to the armhole shaping when I started and now I'm past the decreases and knitting straight until the armhole measures 7 inches. If tonight is as nice as last night, the back will be done and the front cast on. Yippee!! The camera really doesn't do her justice. She is a very lovely shade of ruby red and I can't wait to see her all blocked and beautiful. I'm only working on Luanne at the moment, as I am desperate to get her finished so I can report to Wendy. By end of next week if all goes to plan.
It's no great secret that I don't always take very good care of myself. I literally forget to eat. While I enjoy food as an experience, I often fail to see it as a necessity. Yesterday I decided that I had had quite enough of that, thank you very much and marched across the street to Sushi O Sushi and ordered a Bento box. Isn't it cute? Salmon terriyaki and shrimp and veggie tempura. All delicious! My favorite things are the Japanese pumpkin and sweet potato tempura. I could eat those all day!
Reports from Edinburgh
The Choral Project leaves Edinburgh today. Yesterday afternoon they sang their first concert of the tour at .St. Giles Cathedral. They seem to be getting over jetlag just fine and sang today at St. Mary's Church in Haddington. Man, do I miss them! Only 2 weeks til they'll be home!
